Danielle and Thomas have been together since they were 17 years old. Their wedding at Highgrove in Fuquay Varina, NC, was filled with so much fun & love. Danielle actually works in weddings herself, at the fantastic Sweet Memories Bakery, so I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding.
It was the most beautiful sunny November day. I started out the day photographing Danielle and her bridesmaids at her parents’ beautiful house capturing Danielle getting ready for her special day. Her wedding dress from Lana Addison in Cary, NC looked magnificent hanging from the door in her bedroom. After her mom and bridesmaid helped her into her dress, Danielle walked down her family stairs for her dad to see her for the first time in her wedding gown. While this was happening, Rebecca was at Highgrove taking pictures of Thomas and his groomsmen. I then continued to take photos around the house.
It was then over to Highgrove for the ceremony and reception.
The windows, curved stairway, hardwood floors, and sparkling chandelier make the foyer of the Highgrove a beautiful space to photograph in.
The bright autumn colors were on full display behind the bride and groom during their ceremony and portraits. We had so much fun taking portraits of Danielle & Thomas, including the fun “Fishing Picture”.
Crave Catering provided their guests with exceptional food including prime rib, carved ham, baked chicken, roasted potatoes, pasta, and grilled vegetables. Sweet Memories Bakery made Danielle’s amazing 4 foot tall wedding cake and spectacular fish groom’s cake. They also made everything on their dessert bar which included candy apples, Boston cream cupcakes, cookies, cannoli’s, strawberry cheesecake, and banana cream pie. The dessert table was a huge hit with their guests.
The new reception ballroom is gorgeous at Highgrove. The fabric draped ceilings with the lights and fireplace make this room very romantic. The tables had beautiful linens from Party Reflections and lovely green & white floral centerpieces from Preston Flowers. The couple danced to “I’ll stand by you” for their first dance. John from Southern Video Design captured the great funny toasts from the maid of honor and best man along with others great moments throughout the day. The reception space had lots of room to dance which was great because their family & friends danced all night thanks to DJ Joe Bunn. Everyone loved the glow-in-the-dark sunglasses at the end of night and Rebecca got an awesome shot of the bride & groom celebrating with them on.
And lastly……we love a good ending sparkler picture to complete the wedding story and Kristie nailed it!
We loved photographing this wedding and I hope you like the photos as much as I do.
