All Saints Chapel and The Stockroom Wedding | Raleigh, NC

Well, we had a great start to our season photographing Emily & Daniel’s beautiful wedding celebration. Our couple really hit it lucky, as it was an unusually warm and beautiful winter day.

I had the ultra-talented Courtney with me for this wedding and its always great fun shooting together and bouncing ideas off each other.

The ceremony itself was conducted by the Reverend Kayelily Middleton, and took place at the historic All Saints Chapel in Downtown Raleigh, NC. The All Saints Chapel looked lovely and romantic with all the candles and baby’s breath flowers. Flowers By Design made all of their floral arrangements.

Emily looked stunning in her Justin Alexander wedding dress and her beautiful vintage inspired head-piece (which Emily made herself).

After the wedding ceremony and family portraits at the church we went downtown to Fayetteville Street to take some more photos. We had a lot of fun photographing Emily & Daniel and their wedding party in the wonderful winter downtown atmosphere with holiday lights still hung on the trees. After shoot, it was time to start their reception, which took place at The Stockroom.

Emily did a wonderful job with all of the details of decorating the space.

Mark McMally from Joe Bunn DJ Company kept all of their wedding guests on the dance floor throughout the evening.

We are excited to finally share our pictures from Emily & Daniel’s wedding (and I also sneaked in a couple from her fantastic bridal session – which I have been dying to share for some time). We wish Emily & Daniel all the best for the future!

Going for the [ ONE ] | Raleigh Commercial Photography

Yes, one of my faves, Jon Anderson is coming to town next week, so I thought I’d do a pun on an old YES song!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting one of my favorite subjects – Food!

The venue was [ One ] restaurant in Chapel Hill and i was doing some shots for their new website and other advertising.

The head chef their is Sean McCarthy and to say he is talented is an understatement. His food is sensational and I just hope that my photos do it justice.

I should also mention, Deric McGuffey, who is [ One ]’s talented pastry chef and i also had the pleasure of photographing a couple of his desserts.

If you haven’t been to [ One ] restaurant yet, I suggest you check it out (If you can get a table).

Alexia’s Bridal | Raleigh Wedding Photography

I was really excited last week to be asked to be the photographer for the Vera Wang runway show at Alexia’s Bridal Boutique in Raleigh. The event was to celebrate the opening of Alexia’s new store and what a fantastic new store it is. Based in The south Glenwood area of Raleigh I’m sure its going to be the new hotspot for brides to be.

The event was planned by Angie Wright from Chic details so I knew it was going to be one hell of a party and the store was decorated with flowers by “The Watered Garden”. The evening started with drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres from Donna Ford’s catering company “Crave”.

At 8.30 it was time for the show to start. The model’s looked stunning in their Vera Wang gowns and the hair and Make-up was perfected by Primp Salon.

After the show Alexia and Michael took the microphone and assisted by their beautiful daughter Lana Addison, thanked everyone for being there.

It was then on with the party and DJ Joe Bunn really got everyone in the mood with some awesome tracks.

I couldn’t resist sliding a photo in at the end of some of my favorite colleagues in the biz! (You know who you are).

Carolina Inn Bridal Showcase | Raleigh Wedding Photography

I was really pleased to be asked to shoot the fashion show at the Carolina Inn Bridal Showcase this past Sunday. Devon and Heidi from the Carolina Inn put on a fantastic show (x2) to a packed house. Joe Bunn DJ’d the event and Rick Bryda did the lighting. The Urban Fringe were responsible for Hair and Make-up and the model’s looked gorgeous. But the real “Stars” of the show were the fantastic bridal dresses provided by Alexia’s Bridal Boutique. I really hope that some of my clients order these dresses as they will be fantastic to photograph in a Bridal portrait or wedding!

Southern Bride & Groom Magazine | Raleigh Wedding Photography

Now that its been published I can share an awesome photo shoot that we did last year for Southern Bride & Groom

We took a “real” recently married couple, Annie and Erik and had a fun shoot in downtown Raleigh.

The majority of the shoot was at the Sheraton Raleigh which is a great venue for a photo shoot of this nature. Jennifer at Make Up For Your Day did an awesome job with the make-up and Douglas Carrol did all the hair styling. Gowns were provided by Gorgeous Gowns and Savvi
Tux was Bernard’s Formal wear and Savvi

Hope you like the photos,
